Adding creativity to marketing hot sauce - May 2016

Hi there,

Happy May! It was a fun month for Craft Hot Sauce, and I hope it was the same for you too! We have a big announcement to start off the month of May. We have officially launched theCraft Hot Sauce Box which delivers some of the best small-batch hot sauces to your door. If you are interested in learning more check out ourshop!

We started the monthtalking to Kyle Colson of Hella Hot Hot Sauce out of Campbell, California on our podcast. We talked about his unique sauces, names, art, and ways to market. If you need some inspiration, I highly suggest listening to it! You can listen to the podcast below.

Towards the end of the podcast, we also talked about Steve Seabury and the Hot Sauce expos that he puts on. Craft Hot Sauce attended his New York City Hot Sauce Expo in April. There we metSweet Heat Gourmet from Pennsylvania, who went on to write a Craft Hot Sauce profile. Also, we had the opportunity to talk to and learn from many other top-notch Craft Hot Sauce companies. In case you missed the event or would like to read our write-up on the event, check out ourblog post on the 4th Annual NYC Hot Sauce Expo.

During the NYC Hot Sauce Expo, the winners of the Screaming Mimi Awards were announced, and one of our latest Craft Hot Sauce profiles from this month took home third place for Fruit Based Hot Sauce. You can read more aboutWoody's Clamlube Hot Sauce here. At the NYC Hot Sauce expo, they were serving up oysters with a variety of different hot sauces which gave us the inspiration to write about theBest Hot Sauces for Oysters.

Hope you guys have a great month, and please let me know if there are any improvements you'd like to see on our website or offerings.

Thanks!

Brian
