Hi there,
I had a frustrating month, unable to accomplish what I expected of myself for creating new content for you, the craft hot sauce community.
This has been a hobby of mine since 2014, and since I’m so passionate about it, I get so many ideas of what I can share and create for you. However, it’s frustrating when I want to do so much and cannot get all of it done. I’m telling you this not because I’m looking for pity, but because I want to share a thought and a lesson.
It’s easy to get down on yourself and compare yourself to others who seem bigger, better, and sexier than you. But realize those people have also had their doubts, struggles, and did not become an overnight success.
When you feel like you’re not getting where you want to go and get frustrated, ask yourself: what picks you up and helps you keep on going on?
For me with this site, it’s the excitement I get when someone shows me a picture of an empty bottle of a new hot sauce they’ve tried through our Craft Hot Sauce subscription box, saying it’s their new favorite.
I don’t have as much to share with you this month as most months, but we do have a special podcast I just released with Secret Aardvark. You’ve probably heard of this hot sauce company before, but you probably haven’t heard many of their inspiring and funny founding stories. Please take some time to listen to their story and podcast here:
Before I sign off, I’m going to use some advice I’ve heard from others on my podcast before and ask for help. Do you like writing, are you curious, are you interested in contributing to our site? I’m looking for folks like me that want to help create a community of sharing interesting content. If you’re up for it, drop me a line with your ideas!
Cheers,
Brian
